As there is a large number of existing directories the user has the choice of selecting
the best directory for his needs. One quality index is the number of links stored in
the databases of the directory. The more links the easier it is in most cases to find the
information needed. But it is not only quantity but as well quality is important. The user
will very soon be able to decide if most of the listed links is of high quality or whether
the directory does only provide internet links of low use for the user.
All directories within each list are sorted by the
Pagerank
which was available when the directory was visited. Minimum trade-off lists the minimum return service that is requested by the directory to accept a link proposal. In some cases the author might be mistaken and above that meanwhile some of the data might
have changed.
